Charities struggling with funding will be pleased to learn about a great way to buy low cost computer software.

A scheme run by the Charity Technology Exchange in partnership with the not-for-profit technology capacity building organisation Techsoup is aimed at helping organisations strapped for cash keep up with technology changes.

Through this programme, eligible UK-based charities are able to request donated technology products from partners such as Microsoft, Symantec and Cisco. The products include operating system software and server software, security software and hardware products such as switches, routers, wireless equipment and firewalls.

Low-cost Adobe products

CTX have recently announced that now Adobe products are available. This means Acrobat, In-design, and Photoshop are available for extremely reduced rates.

Charities are required to pay an administrative fee per product to cover the costs of delivering the programme. Whilst the administrative fees vary, charities will still make savings of between 92-96% on typical retail prices.

Registration takes a minimum of five days and you will need to provide your charity registration details.
