Not getting on with Windows 8?
Microsoft have now stopped selling Windows 7 so if you buy a new computer you have to use Windows 8.
Windows 8 does not have a start menu, some people live the new tiles start screen but it seems most just don’t get on with it. The lack of a start menu also makes it difficult to work out how to turn the computer off. At SCIP we have puzzled over this for a few minutes!
Help is at hand.
You can install tiny free application called Classic Shell which practically turns your computer into the more familiar Windows 7.
You then get the best of both worlds, a familiar start menu and some of the performance increases from Windows 8.
If you need help with this, give us a call and we can install it for you.
